• At Home with Malcolm and Nora
This family photo blog represents my first attempt (circa 2005) to create a unique Blogger template. It utilizes Flickr’s image hosting and blogging tools to update the site, and it recently received a 2008 Bronze Horizon Interactive Award for Blog design.
• Streetside Stories
My first design as a volunteer for the Taproot Foundation won a Bronze Horizon Interactive Award. The site includes a blog with an RSS feed, social bookmarking and blog-roll features, an online store, embedded video anthology previews, and more.
• Exhale: an after-abortion counselling hotline
The 2007 supportive e-cards project generated national interest in this small organization following its launch.
• JAK Designs Hand-loomed Knitwear
The JAK Designs website features my first design incorporating Lightbox 2, an elegant slideshow that degrades rather nicely for those users with Javascript turned off. It also features Blogger-powered news and stores pages, allowing a client with no knowledge of HTML to easily update the pages as needed. The site is my first website coded entirely in valid XHTML 1.0 transitional.
