AUGUST 2010 — It’s official: I am now the Web Manager at Holy Names University, a liberal arts institution founded in 1868. I will no longer be accepting new clients, as this is a full-time position. The opportunity to devote all my attention and talents to HNU’s web marketing needs is very exciting, indeed. Check back here for occasional updates on my accomplishments at HNU. JULY 2010 — Just launched — a redesigned site for cookbook author Vanessa Barrington. Vanessa had an older website as well as a blog hosted at TypePad; it was time to freshen her look and unify her web presence. Check it out for her thoughts on cooking, food and culture, food policy and politics, sustainability and urban farming, travel, and trends — and learn more about the project here. — I’m delighted to report that I have been invited to join the Board for AXIS Dance Company. If you haven’t had an opportunity to catch one of their electric performances, you must see them this fall in Oakland for ODD, “an evening-length performance in collaboration with choreographer Shinichi Iova-Koga/inkBoat with original composition and live performance by cellist Joan Jeanrenaud, all inspiried by Icelandic artist Odd Nerdrum.” You won't be disappointed. JUNE 2010 — My family and I had a blast at Streetside Stories' recent Volunteer Appreciation Grill-out! I was being honored as a Volunteer of the Month for my work over the years on their award-winning website — and am currently helping them update and widen the site, so stay-tuned for that. Thank you Streetside! |
